R. “Ray” Wang, Forrester Research
Ray is a Principal Analyst at Forrester Research, where he analyzes trends in ERP for the enterprise and mid-market, delivers strategic guidance in software licensing and pricing, researches business processes including order management cycle and continuous customer management, and assesses functional areas such as customer data integration and the impact of SOA on packaged applications. With this understanding of the overall ecosystem of solutions, technology, and system integrators, Ray provides strategy and guidance for many clients navigating through the vendor selection process.
Ray brings enterprise software experience honed from more than a decade of product management, management consulting, and marketing roles. Prior to joining Forrester, he headed up the CRM analyst relations program for PeopleSoft. At Oracle, Ray served senior product management roles for both the ERP and CRM product lines. At Personify, he was the marketing chief for a Web analytics startup valued at $500 million.
Before working for packaged application vendors, Ray developed his management consulting and strategy experience at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Deloitte Consulting, Detroit Medical Center, and the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Ray graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in natural sciences and public health. His graduate training includes a master's degree from the Johns Hopkins University in health policy and management and health finance and management. He is also certified in SAP FI/CO modules, facilitation, and program manage-ment office.
Bob Hagenau, Purisma, Inc.
Bob Hagenau is a co-founder and currently serves as Vice President of Product Management and Corporate Development for Purisma. His 20 year career in the software business includes positions as a key player in multiple successful start-ups as well as well-known public companies. At Purisma, he is responsible for the definition of Purisma's product strategy, positioning of solutions and corporate development activities Prior to founding Purisma, Bob was a founding member of Acta Technology, a leader in data integration and data warehousing solutions, which was acquired by Business Objects in August of 2002 for $65 million. Bob served as Acta's Vice President of Product Management and Product Marketing, leading the creation of two successful product lines and 16 core products in a highly competitive, rapidly changing market. He has also held several senior product management and software engineering positions at Advent Software, Apple Computer and IBM.
